Definition:
The simple present tense describes actions or situations that are habitual or ongoing in the present.

Composition:
Affirmation
: subject + base form of verb (+ s/es for third person singular)
Negative: Subject + does/does not + base form of verb
Query: Do/does + subject + base form of verb?

Examples:
Affirmation:

i play football.
She reads books.
They work every day.

Negative:

  • I do not play soccer.
  • He does not like coffee.
  • We do not watch TV.

Interrogative:

  • Do you play soccer?
  • Does she read books?
  • Do they work every day?
